Switching to the bright mode the treble is boosted giving the pedal a sparkle (which can become harsh) similar to the British sounding overdrive of yesteryear's AC30. The warm mode obviously adds in some lower mid and bass range, rounding out and smoothing the tone.

Anyone have any tips on good booster pedals. I've got a vintage Les Paul that's a bit murky and I'm looking to get more out of its pickups. Fazit: Telenordia is an effect pedal manufacturer.

Fire Bottle Good luck getting hold of D*A*M's pedals, but its Red Rooster (£175) is an old-style treble booster, but with a range control to adjust the frequency of the boost. For something more like the Fire Bottle, try the Fulltone Fat Boost (£145) or Carl Martin Contour And Boost (£149).
